Nettuno Marina (Anzio) - Cicero - Gaeta

We arrived early afternoon in Nettuna Marina and moored along a quai for transit.
Part of the town is old and most of it a typical new uniform seaside town. We renewed our Wind mobile cards for the next 30 days and by paying 5€ Hélène could also send sms at 19c a shot.
Intended to stay for Saturday night, but the wind calmed down so we take a shot south. We also had to move to another place at port entrance so not so much fun.

We left at 2;30 and motor sailed to San Felice Cicero, which took about 5 hours. However we anchored on the North side of the Monte Circero along an endless sandy beach lined with dunes and plenty of very nice villas. All in view of an old tower. After a magnificent sunset it became rock and roll all night. Unbearable and we did not sleep at all.
We gave up at 7 packed up and left on engine against a strong wind and bubbling sea.
It took an hour to turn around the rock we then called the port of Cicero, but no place all full.

We went on motor sailing with a heavy swell coming from the right towards Gaeta, hoping to get a place in the port and catch up with some sleep. It was a tiresome 6 hour trip battling with the swell and wind strengtening and dropping. We arrived fairly early at 3 and easily got a berth at 46€.
Roy had a little rest and Hélène started to make one of her excellent apple cakes.
We`ll stay for a day, since Monday the wind is fierce and in the nose. So Tuesday we`ll attack the 35 NM to Napoli.
